Carl and Christine moved to California from New Jersey in January 2024 and have been loving it! They have been married since 2018 and we have two boys, Logan and Emerson. Carl works in insights and analytics for Milton’s Craft Baking and Christine works in event marketing for a law firm. They enjoy the outdoors and try to go ‘hiking’, go to the beach, or the zoo as much as possible. They have always enjoyed hosting people and are excited to be a part of a community centered on a love for Jesus. This group is looking to build friendships based on Christ. This is for parents that want to do life together; encourage one another, wrestle together with tough questions, point one another to Christ, serve, and pray with and for one another.

This "sermon-based" study will be based on the previous weekend's message and built on a "Lecture-Lab" model. Think of the weekend message as a lecture on Christian living, and the group as a lab where you get to roll up your sleeves to discuss how the message works in real life. Each week there will be a series of questions and scripture on the back of the sermon note sheet to study before the meeting. It will usually take 20 to 40 minutes per week to complete this homework. GROUP LEADER: Linda Clark has been dedicated to Life Groups for over 10 years, fostering a vibrant community of believers committed to spiritual growth. Her passion is to create a supportive environment where sisters in Christ can encourage one another, build deep relationships, and grow together in faith.

Jon has attended North Coast Church since 2012. He has been on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ for 22 years. Jon enjoys travel (especially to Ireland), road trips to Mammoth/Yosemite, reading, spiritual formation, hiking, and fixing his house. We will be reading through John Mark Comers' new book, Practicing the Way. This is a small men's group for those navigating the 2nd half of life (45-55) who desire a deeper connection with other men. We are constantly being formed by the world around us. To be formed by Jesus requires each of us to become his apprentice. Through the book and each other, we will be learning how to implement contemplative spiritual practices into our day to day so that we can be more transformed into who Jesus has called us to be.
