Sustainable Missions in the Hardest Soils
13 Years
of cross-cultural ministry in China and the Middle East
Sean and Amanda M. are local to North County—both Vista High graduates who met at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and first felt called overseas during college. After 13 years in China and the Middle East, including a decade running businesses abroad, they now focus on making disciples and planting churches among unreached people by empowering local leaders and bivocational pastors. Their mission combines business acumen with church planting, creating sustainable models that take root in the hardest soils where traditional approaches often struggle.
"We believe business and ministry aren't separate callings—they're tools that work together to bring the Gospel to places and people others can't reach."
What makes Sean and Amanda's work unique is their pioneering approach to sustainability in missions. Rather than relying solely on outside funding, they help bivocational pastors achieve success in both business and church planting—creating self-sustaining ministries that multiply and endure. Your donation supports their family (Penelope, Owen, and Calvin) and their ongoing work training and equipping local leaders to plant churches among unreached people groups, ensuring the Gospel takes root and grows long after they've moved on.
