About Ramona Food and Clothes Closet

Meeting Needs, Restoring Dignity

Hundreds
of families served each Christmas season

Ramona Food and Clothes Closet serves as a humanitarian organization providing emergency food, clothing, and resources to aid individuals and low-income families in Ramona, Santa Ysabel, Julian, Ranchita, Borrego Springs, Warner Springs, and outlying rural areas. Each Christmas, they provide several hundred low-income households with a new toy for each child and a holiday food box—ensuring families can celebrate despite financial hardship. For older children aged 11-12 who've outgrown toys, they provide gift cards that offer dignity and choice, recognizing that everyone deserves to participate in holiday traditions.

"Every family deserves to celebrate Christmas with food on the table and gifts under the tree—poverty shouldn't steal childhood joy."

What makes Ramona Food and Clothes Closet vital is their year-round commitment combined with special holiday outreach to rural communities often overlooked. Your donation funds holiday food boxes that transform sparse cupboards into feast tables, provides gift cards to older children who appreciate choice and dignity, and ensures rural families don't face isolation along with poverty. These resources bring holiday joy to children facing hardship, enable families to celebrate together with full pantries, and demonstrate that even in remote areas, community cares—transforming desperation into celebration.

Will you help rural families celebrate Christmas with dignity and joy?
