About Maryland Elementary School

Every Child Deserves a Gift and a Good Book

Every Student
receives a present through Christmas Outreach

Maryland Elementary is a Vista school serving very low socioeconomic and disadvantaged students, where many children face daily challenges that most families never experience. During the Christmas season, donations of books and gifts are given to every child just before they leave for winter break—ensuring no student goes home empty-handed. Monetary donations help purchase additional reading materials throughout the year to support students' learning and reading growth, addressing both immediate holiday needs and long-term educational development in a community where resources are scarce.

"Every child deserves to experience the magic of Christmas and the gift of literacy—no child should be left out or left behind."

What makes Maryland Elementary's program essential is their dual focus on holiday joy and year-round learning. Your donation provides Christmas presents that bring smiles and dignity to children who might otherwise have nothing to open, plus funding for the kindergarten reading program and after-school reading initiatives that build lifelong literacy. These resources transform holiday disappointment into excited anticipation, support early literacy development that changes life trajectories, and demonstrate to vulnerable children that their community believes in their potential.

Will you give a child both holiday joy and the gift of reading?
