About Alabaster Jar Project

Breaking Chains, Building Futures

400+
survivors served since 2013

Alabaster Jar Project stands as a beacon of hope in San Diego County—one of the FBI's identified hotspots for human trafficking. This survivor-led nonprofit empowers women escaping the darkness of trafficking and sexual exploitation, offering not just emergency relief, but a genuine pathway to healing and independence.

Through Grace House, their long-term residential program, survivors find safe housing and comprehensive care in a community living environment. The organization also operates a drop-in Resource Center in Escondido, providing clothing, toiletries, peer support groups, and vital connections to medical, dental, and counseling services—all delivered through a trauma-informed, holistic approach.

"Our goal is to someday be fully survivor-led—because those who've walked this path understand best how to light the way for others."

What makes Alabaster Jar unique is that 70% of their staff are survivors themselves—women who have overcome exploitation and now dedicate their lives to helping others do the same. This peer-led model creates authentic understanding and demonstrates that restoration is possible.

Your support provides more than temporary shelter—it funds the two-year wraparound program that helps survivors rebuild their lives with dignity. From job readiness training to therapy, from basic necessities to educational opportunities, every dollar invested helps a woman move from survival to self-sufficiency, from victim to victor.

Will you help us empower survivors to reclaim their lives and their futures?
