Organization: Senior Community Partner

Project: North Coast has partnered with several caring and compassionate resident communities that provide services for aging seniors. We want to love and honor this special and unique community by providing a little gift that will uplift their spirits. Choose from one of the lists below and create a blessing bag filled with goodies.  

Craft/Activity Supplies Blessing Bag: 

• Watercolor paints
• Watercolor paper/Craft paper
• Adult coloring books – both advance and simple coloring pages. Not all residents can handle the extra busy detailed pages.
• Pens/Pencils/Pencil sharpeners/Colored pencils/Crayons
• Notebooks/Notepads/Journals
• Beads for beaded jewelry
• Large print Sudoku or crossword books/Large print books/Books in Spanish/Religious positive quote books
• Holiday door hanging signs
• Individual wooden crafts they can paint or build

Treats Blessing Bag:

• Sugar free pudding/Low sugar apple sauce/fruit sauce packets
• Sugar free shelf stable Jello
• Sugar free shortbread cookies/Sugar free wafer cookies
• Lays potato chips – No corn chips
• Nilla Wafer cookies
• Cheese puffs
• PUFFED popcorn (not regular popcorn)
• 3 Musketeers/Milky Way/Sugar Free Chocolates
• Soft granola/breakfast bars

*Please avoid items with nuts due to a few allergies

Spa Blessing Bag:

• Toothpaste/Toothbrush
• Shampoo/Conditioner/Lotion/Bodywash (No Body Spray -It’s an allergy risk)
• Shaving cream – NO RAZORS
• Chapstick
• Nail polish/Nail filers (NO NAIL CLIPPERS -only supplies for fingernails)
• Hair bushes/Hair Ties/Hair Gel/Hair Spray/Dry Shampoo
• Leave in conditioner *Many residents hair gets tangled easily and they have sensitive heads. This would be a BIG help.
• Facial cleaning wipes
• Slipper’s w/ gripping
• Soft Grip socks/Regular socks
• Sunglasses/Sun Hats/Regular hats for men and women

How many: Make at least one complete kit, or more if your finances allow. Please let us know in the comments how many kits you plan to make so we may notify the home.
