About Arise: Gloria Giorella-McCafferty and Liz Torres-Whitted

**This group is currently halfway through this study, but happy to welcome new members** Luke Gut-Level Compassion by Lisa Harper: The Gospel of Luke shows that perfection is not required for a relationship with Jesus, as He has a special affection for the outcasts and those who feel marginalized, offering them a safe place to belong; through this study, we discover that Jesus values authenticity over perfection and welcomes everyone—flaws and all—into His loving embrace. GROUP LEADERS: Gloria and her husband started attending North Coast in 2010 and have been involved in Life Groups since 2015. In addition to being an accountant and property manager, Gloria is active in many community groups. She is also a big fan of Hallmark movies. Liz moved here from San Francisco in 2016. She enjoys the Soul Gospel venue and serves on the prayer team. Liz has a Ph.D. in microbiology and a master’s in Spanish literature. She has taught high school, been a nursing home administrator, and worked as a hospice chaplain.
