Night to Shine is designed as a once-in-a-lifetime event for our Honored Guests! Each Honored Guest is partnered with a Buddy who is with them throughout the night. The role of a Buddy is a vital part of making this event a success! Buddy's accompany an Honored Guest throughout the night. Honored Guests and Buddies are paired based on the Buddy's comfort level. Night to Shine is a giant prom that includes a red carpet arrival, dancing complete with a DJ spinning tunes all night (fast dances only!), limo/party bus rides around the North Coast Church campus, karaoke, dinner, dessert, and cameos by beloved film/television characters. At the end of the evening, every Honored Guest is reminded of their worth & value as they are crowned Prom King or Prom Queen.

*This is not a "date." A Buddy's role is to help your Honored Guest navigate the event, keep them safe, and help them have fun! This shift is from 4:00-9:00 PM. There will be a mandatory training held at North Coast Church's Vista Campus on Saturday, February 1 at 10:00 AM. This is a mandatory training as we will go over best practice guidelines and answer any questions about the role of being a Buddy.

Gentlemen, please wear prom attire - a suit, sports coat, or if you want to go for it, you can rent a tux. If you are serving or have served in the Military, appropriate military dress uniform is highly encouraged!

Ladies, please wear prom attire, a cocktail dress, or pull out that bridesmaid dress your friend told you you would be able to wear again one day! Please be modest with your dress; long or mid-length skirt and little to no cleavage.

This is a great position for those who can't get to the event until late. Arrival time is 8:00 PM to help with a quick & efficient teardown/cleanup. Should be done no later than 10:00 PM. Please wear Black/White attire. Please be prepared to be on your feet and wear comfortable shoes!

This team is responsible for preparing the corsage & boutonniere table and giving them out to each Honored Guest prior to the prom. The shift is from 4:00-7:00 PM. Please wear Black/White and comfortable shoes. Please be prepared to be on your feet. We provide the corsages and boutonniere's.

There will be two large meals being served during the event. One in the Prom for the Honored Guests and one for Parents/Caregivers. Most of the food is catered, however we will have some additional kitchen prep, food prep, serving, beverage setup/refill, coffee team, dessert bar, etc. Please wear Black/White attire. Please be prepared to be on your feet and wear comfortable shoes. Arrival time is 4:00 PM.

There will be check-in stations for Honored Guests, Buddies, and Volunteers. Each person registered to attend/volunteer is required to check-in and will receive a lanyard. This team will be checking in each registered person/volunteer and instructing attendees/volunteers where to go after they check-in. This team serves from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Please wear black/white attire and wear comfortable shoes.

We love to provide basic hair styling before the prom for Honored Guests! Most Hair Stylists will assist female Honored Guests with hair styling before the start of the prom. Two Stylists will help male Honored Guests. Hairstyling takes place from 5:00-6:30 PM. Some supplies (glitter spray) will be provided. Please bring your own curling iron. Hair and Make-up is only for the Honored Guests and appointments will be required. Black/White attire recommended for Hair Stylists. Please plan to be on your feet and wear comfortable shoes. Arrival time is 4:00 PM. Hair Styling will take place from 5:00-6:30 PM.

This team will greet and help Honored Guests as they enter and exit limos and party buses throughout the night as we provide rides around the campus as a prom activity. Please dress in Black/White and wear comfortable shoes. The shift is from 4:00-9:00 PM.

Before the prom begins, we love to provide makeup for our Honored Guests! We will have make-up available for you to use. Make-up is only for Honored Guests and by registered appointments. This shift is from 4:00-6:30 PM.

This is the team that sets up decor, flowers, etc. This shift is 10:00 AM-3:00 PM on the day of the event. Please be prepared to be on your feet and wear comfortable shoes!

We will have two shoeshine stations available for Honored Guests to take a seat and relax while they get their shoes sparkling! We provide what you need to shine shoes! Please wear Black/White attire. This shift is from 4:00-6:30 PM.

The Welcome Team is the team that escorts our Honored Guests and their Buddy to the Plaza at the start of the evening to take part in the various prom activities available throughout the night. Please wear Black/White attire. This shift is from 4:00-7:30 PM.
