The impact your support can have...

Your gift provides essential items for six residential homes serving adults with Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, autism, and cerebral palsy—enhancing quality of life and supporting their community integration.

Contributions to North Coast Church are administered and disbursed under the supervision of the church. In the unlikely event that a ministry/project is overfunded, gifts may be used in another ministry/project in alignment with our exempt purpose. North Coast Church desires to honor unsolicited directed gifts but the final decision on the use of all funds rests with the Church.

About Downstown

Celebrating Abilities, Maximizing Independence

6 Homes
providing loving care since 1984

Downstown has grown from a single home into a six-home community serving adults with developmental disabilities including Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, autism, and cerebral palsy in North County. Founded in 1984, this nonprofit's mission is to encourage public understanding of persons with developmental disabilities while maximizing residents' potential for community involvement and independence. Each residential home provides a family-like environment where residents receive personalized care, participate in daily activities, engage in their community, and live with dignity and purpose.

"Everyone deserves to live with dignity, purpose, and community connection—developmental disabilities don't define a person's worth or potential."

What makes Downstown special is their commitment to treating each resident as a valued individual with unique gifts and dreams. Your donation provides essential items that make their houses feel like homes—comfortable furnishings, recreational equipment, personal care supplies, and resources for community outings. Every dollar invested enhances quality of life for residents, supports their independence and community integration, and demonstrates that every person deserves to be seen, valued, and supported—transforming houses into homes and care into family.

Will you help adults with developmental disabilities live with dignity and joy?
