What is Tables for 8?

It’s a simple idea with a big impact—eight people (or more), one table, and a chance to slow down and connect. Signup for a one-night dinner hosted in someone’s home, created to help you meet others at church who are in a similar stage of life. Whether you’re new to North Coast or have been around for a while, this is a chance to get to know some of the incredible people who call this their church home.

Bill and Laurie have been attending North Coast Church since 2006. Laurie is a physical therapist, and Bill works in technology software sales. They have two sons who grew up at North Coast and now enjoy spending time with their growing family, including two wonderful daughters-in-law. Together, they love staying active—hiking, biking, traveling, and discovering new places. They’re excited to open their home for a one-night, adults-only dinner for young adults (ages 18–25). It will be a relaxed and welcoming evening with good food, easy conversation, and a chance to connect with others.

Penny has been part of North Coast since 2010. She’s an Assistant Principal who enjoys paddle boarding, sailing, home remodeling, and woodworking. Penny is excited to open her home for a one-night, adults-only dinner designed especially for single adults of all ages. It will be a relaxed evening filled with good food, easy conversation, and the chance to meet new people who share similar experiences and life’s journey. Whether you’re new to the area or have been here for a while, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect and build community.

They're excited to open their home for a one-night dinner to connect with other young families! Kids are absolutely welcome—this will be a family-friendly, relaxed evening with good food, easy conversation, and a chance to get to know a few new faces who are in a similar stage of life.

Austin and Kylee live in San Marcos with their three kids: Henry (11), Jack (9), and Ivy (4). They’ve been part of North Coast Church since 2006. Austin works in General Construction and Kylee is the Operations Director at North Coast Church. They are excited to open their home for a one-night dinner to meet and connect with other young families! Kids are welcome, and the evening will be relaxed and casual—filled with good food, great conversation, and the chance to build new friendships with others in a similar stage of life.

Whether you’re single, married, have kids, or are empty nesters, this will be a relaxed, casual evening with good food, easy conversation, and a chance to connect with others in the North Coast community.
