Edward and Cristina Arellano have been married for 18 years and are the parents of two sons, Eddie (10) and Jaxon (8). They have been part of the North Coast Church Vista community since 2023. As entrepreneurs, homeschooling parents, and an active family involved in local youth sports—including football, rugby, and baseball—they understand the demands of busy lives and the importance of intentional community. They feel called to open their home to others in order to build authentic relationships and grow together in their walk with Christ. Their heart for group leadership is to create a welcoming environment where faith is strengthened, lives are encouraged, and community is built through a shared pursuit of God.

Sensus Plenoir is Latin for "wider meaning" and describes the deeper dive we take in looking not only at the scripture, but the history and cultural context at the time they were written. Our group has a cool dynamic being multigenerational - millennials to baby-boomers. We encourage hard questions and love the collective wisdom that comes from searching the scriptures together for answers. There's a whole lot of fellowship and relationships which sprout from that. We study whole books of the Bible. We have been through Acts, Exodus, Revelation, Ezekiel, Habakkuk and even Obadiah (to name a few). We are currently on a verse-by-verse journey through 2nd Peter. We meet year round on the covered back deck of Brian's home (under patio heaters when it's chilly). Join us!

James loves surfing, rucking, running, camping, baking and cooking. He wants this group to be on where people don’t leave there troubles/problems at home but bring them to the group. Kezia has been attending North Coast since 2018. She is a substitute teacher and in her spare time, she loves to read, drink coffee, travel, and spend time with friends and family. For this group, she wants to create a community space where you can discuss spiritual and theological topics in ways that are encouraging and helpful and God-honoring, if challenging at times. She also want to provide time for you to build connections and relationships with each other that build a supportive and fun community and help support each other in life.

The study we will be going through is called "The Way of Wisdom" by Jen Wilkin and others. Millie & Kathy have been involved in women’s ministry since 2009 at North Coast. Both are proud grandparents and love encouraging women to dig deeper into God’s word. They love having Bible study outside at the DeLauder property in the beautiful nature surrounding. Our hope is this study will begin an incredible prayer adventure that will help you create a prayer habit that will last a lifetime. And bring new awareness of the Lord’s delightful presence. We look forward to seeing you there!!

We believe that the Word of God is able to radically save and transform people. We are so privileged to attend a church that emphasizes God's Word and also helps us apply it to the benefit of our lives. Our group meetings are on zoom, we explore the sermon and weekly questions together, and we always end with a time of praise and prayer. It is very exciting to see God at work.

The Mueller's enjoy camping, hiking, bike riding, off roading, paddling, surfing, pretty much anything outdoors and active. They also enjoy growing fruits and vegetables, tending to their chickens and dreams of expanding that endeavor. They have 4 kids who enjoy much of the same things. The Ephron's enjoy camping, traveling, paddle boarding, farming, water activities and so much more! They hope that this group is an open group that can share without fear of judgement, be who they are and enjoy laughing and growing together. They love hearing everyone's experiences and how that translates to their interpretation of scripture and how they can live that out. They love game nights and sharing a cup of coffee or tea.

The Baca's started attending North Coast in 2001 and in their free time, Randy and Rudi manage a small farm, go camping at the beach, and enjoy attending concerts.

Studying God's Word is exciting and new every time I dive in. Sharing and discussing it with others opens up questions and ideas that broaden what God wants us to know. I am not sure how "close" we will follow the entire outline suggested on the sermon notes, but it is a place to start. Sometimes it's important to the group to "peel back" a topic and not just check the boxes. Our group LOVES to play games and share meals together. Bob and Cyndi have developed a safe place for us to ask questions and challenge each other as we study God's word. Fran enjoys traveling, reading, listening to any kind of music, and cooking something new. She also does a lot of quilting, working with a small group that makes quilts for various charity donations, including Veterans, Wounded Warriors, and children's groups. Walks along the beach are always a favorite pastime, as well as gathering with their children and grandchildren, whenever possible. Tim enjoys bicycling, scuba diving, woodworking, community college teaching assistant, and landscaping. The Clepper's have been attending North Coast since 2005. Bob and Cyndi are an amazing couple that love traveling, comedy shows, movies, and reading. They are both retired from the Navy and love serving at North Coast, where they have attended since 2009. This group would love to develop great relationships and figuring out what it means to live a life worth following.
