When Saying NO Means I Love You

In this class, childhood and teen and experts and licensed therapists, Susan Trueblood, Marla Elliott, Kassidy Nearhoof, Helen Garrett will present on the importance of teaching your child to tolerate a “No” from you. Whether your kid is neurotypical or neurodivergent, we will cover the importance of natural consequences and why parents should not step in for a rescue. Learn how the power of boundaries and consequences will be one of the best lessons for parents and kids. We will present calming strategies for both parents and kids, how to avoid a power struggle and how to maintain your parental role for lifelong healthy relationships.

OPTIONAL DINNER INFORMATION:

Come early to enjoy an optional add-on dinner in the Plaza before heading to your class! You will have the option to select dinner for each person you register.

  • Adult dinner (Pulled Pork Sandwich, Coleslaw, Chips): $10/plate
  • Child dinner (Hot dog, chips, clementine): $5/plate
CHILDCARE INFORMATION:
  • Childcare is available for infants to 12yrs with registration.
  • COST: $15/child with a family max of $40.
